On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America from Mexico to Maine. South Bend is in the path, and will experience 97 percent of totality at 3:09 p.m.

Rain or shine, join us for our 2024 Eclipse Watch Party from 1-4:30 p.m., both on the Irish Green and at the Regis Philbin StudioTheatre in the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, adjacent to the Irish Green, both on the University of Notre Dame campus. Our complimentary eclipse glasses must be worn AT ALL TIMES while looking at the sun that day for viewers on campus.
- Our outdoor viewing location on the Irish Green will include seven solar telescopes, a live eclipse feed showing totality across the path of the eclipse, complimentary eclipse glasses, and brief demonstrations by physics students so you can learn more about this unique eclipse
- Our indoor viewing location at the Regis Philbin Studio Theatre, inside the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, will be open rain, clouds or sun. Watch a live feed of the eclipse plus learn more about eclipses from our experts.
For your convenience, paid parking is available in the Eddy Street parking garage, across the street from the Irish Green.
