Calling All Shrek Fans!
Auditions for Shrek the Musical and Shrek the Musical Jr. Held January 16th and 18th
Elkhart, IN- Premier Arts kicks off their 2020 season off with Shrek the Musical, March 6-8. Auditions for this exciting show will be held Thursday, January 16th, at 6:30 pm and Saturday, January 18th, at 1 pm Premier Arts is searching for people of all ages to audition for this show. There will be a wide variety of characters, so anyone is welcome to come out and audition. There will be a special All Youth cast show on Saturday, March 7th. For the youth cast auditions, we are looking for children ages 5-15. For the adult show ages 5 and up are welcome to audition.
Is this your first time auditioning for a show, or would you like a little help before auditions? We will be holding an Audition workshop on Tuesday, January 14 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm for children ages 5-15. Participating in the workshop will allow you to attend the Saturday, January 18th audition one hour early (12:00 pm.) The workshop will help you get acquainted with how the audition process works and a sneak peek at the audition song and dance. The price for this is $25. It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned performer or if it is your very first-time auditioning for a show, Premier Arts is always looking for new talent.
Dates:
Audition Workshop: Tuesday, January 14th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm
Auditions: Thursday, January 16th, at 6:30 pm and Saturday, January 18th, at 1 pm
Auditions are held at The Lerner Theatre at 410 South Main Street in downtown Elkhart. Please enter through the Franklin Street entrance door located by the Truck Door and follow the signs. We will teach audition material at auditions. Please come prepared with your list of schedule conflicts!
Audition Tips:
- Wear comfortable clothing
- Bring all known schedule contacts
- Be ready and willing to SING, DANCE and ACT!
